Internships

Note: Currently, only Summer Remote Internships are being Offered.

The Centre is having a comprehensive and beneficial Internship Policy to train young graduates in their respective areas of educational qualification having relevance with areas of research of the Centre and particularly in the fields of Politics, Governance, International Relations, Security Studies, Law, and International Law.

The Center offers internship in mainly two broad Areas:

Political Sciences

Students, Graduates, Researchers, Scholars, and Professionals from the following Academics or relevant area are encouraged to apply: 

  • Political Science;
  • Philosophy;
  • International Relations;
  • Defense and Strategic;
  • History;
  • Religious Studies;
  • Studies Peace and Conflict Studies;
  • Social Sciences;
  • Public Policy;
  • Public Administration;
  • Development Studies; or
  • Environmental Sciences.

International Law

Students, Graduates, Researchers, Scholars, Litigants, Legislators and Professionals from the following Academics are encouraged to apply in this Area: 

  • National and International Law.

Administrative & Management Internships:

Students and Graduates from Media Studies and others are encouraged to apply: 

  • Administrative Works of Center;
  • Meeting Arranagements;
  • Meeting Hosting;
  • Website Management;
  • Social Media and Media Management; or
  • Other stuff.

Summer Remote Internship Programme (SRIP)

The Summer Remote Internship Programme (SRIP) is a two-month virtual internship offered by the Centre for Research in Political Sciences and International Law (CFRPSAIL) for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Programme is designed to strengthen participants’ research aptitude, analytical thinking and academic writing through structured learning and practical assignments.

The Programme consists of two components:

1. Virtual Training and Discussion Sessions led by researchers and experts on topics relating to political science, international law, governance, public policy, international relations and allied disciplines.
2. Assignment-Based Research Work, enabling participants to apply their learning through practical research and academic tasks.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The Programme shall be conducted entirely in a virtual mode for a duration of (2) two months, which is further extendable on Centre’s Discretion.
  2. The Programme is open to students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate degree programmes in relevant disciplines.
  3. Selection of interns shall be based on merit, motivation and the availability of seats.
  4. The Programme is educational in nature and does not create an employer–employee relationship.
  5. The internship is unpaid and no stipend, remuneration or financial benefit shall be payable unless expressly approved by the Centre.
  6. Participants shall attend scheduled virtual training sessions and actively participate in discussions and learning activities.
  7. Interns shall complete all assignments within the prescribed timelines.
  8. Assigned work may include, but shall not be limited to:

    For Political Sciences and International Law Interns:

    (1) Research on assigned topics;
    (2) Collection, compilation and verification of data;
    (3) Literature review and analysis of scholarly publications;
    (4) Drafting articles, policy briefs, reports and other academic content for CFRPSAIL;
    (5) Reviewing and summarising referred scholarly writings; and
    (6) Any other research or academic task assigned by the Centre.

    For Administrative Interns:

    (1) Management and Hosting Duties;
    (2) Minutes Making and Record Maintenance;
    (3) Social Media Management;
    (4) Content Creation and Editing;
    (5) Website Management; or
    (6) Any other task assigned by Centre.

  9. All work submitted must be original, properly referenced and free from plagiarism. The use of Artificial Intelligence tools shall only be permitted in accordance with the Centre’s guidelines.
  10. Participants shall maintain professionalism, integrity and respectful conduct during all virtual interactions and communications.
  11. All information, research materials and documents shared by the Centre shall be treated as confidential and shall not be disclosed without prior permission.
  12. All assignments, research papers, reports, databases and other work prepared during the Programme shall remain the intellectual property of CFRPSAIL. Appropriate acknowledgement may be given where considered suitable by the Centre.
  13. Performance shall be assessed on attendance, participation, quality of work, punctuality and adherence to deadlines.
  14. A Certificate of Completion shall be issued only to participants who successfully complete the Programme and fulfil all assigned requirements to the satisfaction of the Centre.
  15. The Centre reserves the right to terminate a participant’s internship for misconduct, plagiarism, breach of confidentiality, non-performance or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
  16. The Centre reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or the Programme structure whenever necessary. All decisions of the Centre shall be final.
  17. This Internship is voluntary and Interns are allowed to pursue other Jobs/Internships, if they can manage without effecting duties assigned, during this Internship, provided the same shall be done with the prior knowledge and permission of the Centre.
